Step in – to Sophia Mylona’s well-arranged kitchen
Ever wondered what the personal kitchen of a restaurateur looks like? Then, step right in – to Sophia Mylona’s well-arranged kitchen.
casa cook.jpgMylona is a co-owner of the much-acclaimed Thasos Taverna on Oakland Park Boulevard and – not surprisingly – she loves to cook. When she built her house on Fort Lauderdale Beach, she engaged Art Bengochea, the same architect she used for her restaurant. She was a very hands-on client. She knew exactly what she wanted: a kitchen that was functional, not frivolous. One that was classic (even her dishes are white), not faddish or trendy.
“You can’t redo your kitchen every year to keep up with the fads,” Mylona says. At nine years old, her kitchen stands the test of time. In fact, it looks brand new.
She has designed it to reflect her personal style of cooking and entertaining. - See more at: http://flmag.com/city-life/kitchen-continental#sthash.37LX1mOl.FStNBHgu.dpuf
